I have a brand new LG 27UK850-w Monitor and have it connected via HDMI to my PC but the USB hub on the back of my my monitor is not working. Stuff that is plugged in there won't get power or show up on my desktop like for example a USB stick. When I connect my MBP via USB-C however the ports are working without any problem.
USB devices are point ot point. To share them you would need a dedicted KVM or a USB 'switch; which switches from being a hub connected to one PC to, disconnect and switch to the other. I am using one sunch device. Since Sunday. So not enough experience to recommed it yet. (even assuming sunch product recommendation were wecomed on SU) – Hennes.

Attempts to fix: Reinstalled the NVIDIA drives with a clean install. As there is a USB PPC driver in these. No luck. Removed the device from the device manager and shutdown. Then down a power reset by holding the power button down for 60 seconds while the power cable is disconnected.
For what its worth you would experience similar issues if it were Dell USB C docks. The problem is that the Startech docks use DisplayLink chipsets, and you need the drivers for the video to function properly. Displayport video signals will pass right through them, but dvi, vga, and HDMI do not.
If the monitor is connected to the pc using hdmi or dp, you have to run a usb cable from pc to monitor and then the web cam will work connected to the monitor. If you are using a usb-c from pc to monitor the USB ports on the monitor should work. badboyzpwns. OP • 2 yr. ago. I ended up connecting my USB B cable that came with it to the PC and
Transfer data easily from/to your LG monitor with the help of a USB. But what if your LG monitor may have recognized the USB drive once you attached it, but have been unable to access the data on it? You may have repeatedly attempted to connect to the USB device but failed, this is a sign of LG monitor USB ports not working, now what should you do?

I want to extend my display using upstream usb port, I have two Monitor Elite Display 233 and want to extend these two, In Mobile workstation there is no VGA port so I was trying to use USB upstream for extending display. Hope It should work.
Thats why i'm thinking about some sort of adapter for the headphone jack to usb. JohnBonhamsGhost said: a type of converter like sizzling linked should have 2x USB output, one for the PC & one for the PS5. this way the headset can be connected to both at all times. you wouldn't need the monitor to be involved.
I am using a UHD monitor but when I connect USB-C or DP(display port), the max resolution is not supported. You have to make sure that your PC graphics card’s display port or USB-C output condition meets the 4K(3840x2160@60Hz) spec of your monitor. You have to activate the DisplayPort 1.2 menu before you can use 4K(3840x2160@60Hz). Try this
It has a USB-C port that says it provides DisplayPort 1.4 over USB 3.2 Gen 2. I'm trying to connect to an LG Ultrafine 4K monitor. This was bought for a Macbook originally, but I have seen online that you can connect them to Windows from DisplayPort with the right adapter. So I assumed this would work with DisplayPort over USB-C.
The specs of your dock indicate that it requires a system with a Thunderbolt port or a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, which is video output. DisplayPort Alt Mode is an optional feature of USB-C ports, and it is not implemented on the Inspiron 5593. That system's USB-C port only supports regular USB data.
8. Roll Back Graphics Driver. 9. Update Your Monitor. 10. Contact the Monitor Manufacturer. 1. Unplug and Reconnect the DisplayPort Cable. If your DisplayPort monitor doesn’t detect a signal from your computer, unplug the cable and plug it back in.
