In a surprising turn of events though, another Far Cry is reportedly on the way, reportedly a spin-off title that see you buddy up with a friend to survive the Alaskan wilderness. We all know much Ubisoft love a good spin-off, just look at the Assassin’s Creed series, but the developer is apparently trying something new with this one.
Far Cry 2's multiplayer mode is still played today and it's available to anyone thanks to a patching utility called 'FC2MPPatcher'. Apart from fixing a number of hosting related software issues, the utility modifies the game, so it will connect to the community made online master server that was created to revive the multiplayer after its support by Ubisoft officially ended.
It's a Far Cry game bud :) Single player has always been the primary focus. Multiplayer and Co-Op have always been "on the side". The Co-Op in this one is great, but yeah.. it's mainly a single player game.
