I think the only annoying thing if you lower you WL is when you farm Andrius, since he's the only weeklie whose loot depends on WL instead of domain level, since he's not in a domain. Some of the best Trace abilities are tied to higher equilibrium ranks, so I say just go with the highest your Trailblazer rank allows.

Yes. You are in your friend's world. And their world is at World Level 5. Therefore mobs/bosses will drop for World Level 5. If your loot scaled with your world level then people would just join a low level world for their most hated boss like Oceanid or something.
The other thing people aren't telling you here is that when you hit AR 55 the world goes automatically to level 8. Not to mention the amount of exp needed from there on is absolutely ridiculous and you will only get past it after 3 months of getting adventure exp. MHY should really have just capped it there instead of making 60 unreachable until they can settle more ranks.
